Summer's not quite here

The first Magnus single was supposed to hit the stores on May 26 but it looks like it did not. Next week hopefully.

Hot Shot II

Summer's Here (the first Magnus - i.e. Tom Barman+CJ Bolland+Peter Vermeersch - single) is "hot shot" this week on Radio 21. This means that it's one of four new songs that will get heavy rotation until Friday, 16:00. Tom must be one happy fella. Listen at StuBru: hi-fi or lo-fi. The song starts at 07:25, it entered De Afrekening (Studio Brussel's listeners' hit chart) at the 28th position. And who scored 27th? Danny's Vive La Fête with "Ne Touche Pas". You're free to make this a better world by voting for your favourite song here (it's all in Dutch)

Go to -> this page <- it's StuBru's own webcast archive. Magnus' "Summer Here" starts at 52:05 (slower connection, click here). This will work until Friday, 6PM.

Get a glimpse of AWTWB/Magnus release party

Aaargh, I was away for one week and the world's been moving on faster than usual.

The official site for Anyway The Wind Blows (reminder: Tom's movie) is finally up and it's just too cool. Get there now -> www.anywaythewindblows.com <- There you'll find the official AWTWB trailer, behind-the-scenes footage, all film credits, and a (very) short introduction to the main characters of the movie. Later, we'll be graced with a message board, and a soundtrack player. Best bits:
- Magnus (Tom+CJBolland+Vermeersch) features on the soundtrack, their first single "Summer's Here" is the AWTWB's main theme and it will be released on May 26 (instead of May 10 as previously announced here). 2 tracks: a radio edit and another mix. By the way, there's an official Magnus website coming soon -> there there. Studio Brussel have been airing the single like mad (and yes, you can listen to that radio on the web -> www.stubru.be).
- The AWTWB soundtrack will be released on Universal on June 23. This should be a killer soundtrack... Arthur wrote on the official message board that it'll feature music by Herbie Hancock, Squarepusher (yeeaaah), Queens of the Stone Age, Charles Mingus (you know, the guy that dEUS sampled on Turnpike) & Yazoo. And more - perhaps Evil Superstars, since their "Holy Spirit Come Home" is used in the trailer. But that's pure guesswork.
- Tom drinks Coca-Cola and looks puzzled in front of his laptop.


Now, let's go clubbing! If you want to see Tom doing his DJ stuff, you can catch him at Studio Athanor (Brussels) on May 30. That will be a special party to celebrate the release of the first Magnus single ! From www.studio-athanor.be :

Everybody knows Tom Barman's long awaited first movie "Any Way The Wind Blows" will be released this summer. Barman & CJ Bolland aka MAGNUS made the titeltrack of this film, a dancetrack called "Summer's Here". The single will be released on 10th May.
