Welcome to
W.W.W.C.S.
Let me tell you a little about this site ... I actually started a Belgian music site in the late 1995, mostly dedicated to Mad Dog Loose and their side projects. I think some people saw it since I received a few very positive reactions. There was also a short dEUS discography, some photos & the lyrics of Worst Case Scenario. It was a really small site I'd made with FrontPage. I'd called it WWW-Wailly Weird World, Wailly being the place where I live, and Weird cuz I saw all that Belgian scene as definitely ... weird. That was the 1st draft of my dEUS site at http://uc2.unicall.be/jyves. Then in the summer of 1997 I changed it completely, removing lots of graphic elements and using a blue & orange colour scheme. I also added lots of bands, but without any in-depth section. Name was : "Jyves presents: music!" and subtitle : "A would-be site but actually just a kinda musical mess", which described accurately the contents ; some things about dEUS, Kiss My Jazz, SexMachines, Flowers for Breakfast, Dead Man Ray, Gore Slut + my Mad Dog Loose site. I started gathering a large dEUS discography, adding bits from every dEUS site I visited. In April 1998 I bought a MiniDisc recorder & started to use my site as a place where I'd offer bits of my recordings in MP3 format, mostly Mogwai recordings --- this quickly led to my provider's deleting of my site. That was the 2nd draft of my dEUS site at http://user.online.be/jyves. In October 1998, talks started on the dEUS mailing list about working together with dEUS and their management in order to make the "ultimate dEUS site". Of course I wanted to be part of the project, but it lasted weeks until Musickness agreed on an appointment. By that time I had to leave to Copenhagen for 3 months' studying there. Furthermore, I live 150 km from Antwerp and I'm not fluent enough in Dutch - so I said that I couldn't be of great help. In December I got my hands on DreamWeaver 2, another HTML editor. I was really enthusiastic about it (and still am), and seeing how it was easy to get good-looking results, I started on a site wholly dedicated to dEUS. Motivation came from two things : 1. there was no really complete dEUS site (not any I knew of) and 2. I couldn't do the official site. My goal was : make THE dEUS reference site, with everything from early demo's to latest news, including a big deal of archive. Being a fan for a long time, and this being my 3rd attempt at making a good music site, I called it W.W.W.C.S. (3Rd dRAFT). I didn't have lots of lessons in Copenhagen, so I had tons of spare time to work on it (no, I didn't spend three months in my room, believe me there are hundreds of cool things to do up there). Today, this dEUS site contains more than 250 documents & more than 650 pictures. A hell to keep up-to-date, but I enjoy doing it. Time for you to enjoy W.W.W.C.S. (3Rd dRAFT) ! -
