REVIEW
BY STEVEN VAN IMPE
Just
got back from Saint Amour in Mechelen. Tom wasn't that great tonight,
he didn't feel like it I think. Serpentine is rapidly becoming one
of my favourite songs. No Instant Street tonight, but a great cover
of Elvis Costello's I Want You. Does anybody have a recording of
this? Please?
And
for the fourth time this week, I made a mental note to buy Josse
De Pauw's book Werk as soon as possible. This man is f*cking great!

yes,
i went to saint amour in mechelen too, don't know if tom felt like
it or not (he was probably glad to finally find the stage with a
glass of wine present for him, after an half hour search through
the audience with his guitar 'does anybody know where i have to
go/be?') but that i want you cover from elvis costello is still
sticking in my ears...
he
started with a song which i don't know (... there was the word 'magnolia'
in it, more i don't remember) then he played serpentine (a song
about adultry) then (sorry kristien, you went to the wrong place!)
'magdalena' (a song about 'voorspel'... what is that in english?
'prelude/overture'?) and then 'i want you'
well,
i liked the evening, i want more!
