I'm
not going to write much. I will let Avi and Noam give you the full
details. The show was great. Unfortunately for me, I stood in the
front, surrounded by young girls, who screamed in my ear, at times
drowning Barman's singing.
Although
I can't compare with other shows on this tour, my impression was
that this was a good concert. The pace was even throughout, even
though they had minor sound problems. The audience was very responsive
and warm. I hope the band had a good time, too. Best moments for
me: Magdalena and Instant Street (and I'm a bigger fan of WCS, on
most days!). If I recall, the setlist was pretty much the same as
on other shows on this tour. There were no big surprises. They encored
with Turnpike and Everybody's Weird. All in all, a great night.

hello,
hello ..........and hello again !
i
came back home just 15 minutes ago (it's 3am at the moment) , that
show was the Best thing i ever saw in my life ! .......it was so
great, i think the best way to describe it is writing all the words
like GREAT WONDERFUL and so just on and on .... ;-)
the
place was really crowded , i think it sold out completely, the audience
was really good i think....knew the songs, jumped there was No space
to move , the only thing to do was jumping up and down and so i'm
really tired now :-)
the
kicked off the show with "let's see who goes down first" which they
played again later in the show but quite different, but the first
version was better they became i think more happy and cheerful during
the gig.......... and it was GREAT ! tim gave people from the crowd
sometimes to fret his guitar , that danny guy sure seems a cool
rocket ;-) ........he surfed on the crowd for a little while (i
don't remember in which song) and then one of the security guys
had to pull him back and he like grab him and then carried him like
a big baby ! ....;-)
the
stuff they sold at the souvenirs stand was quite disappointing as
there weren't any t-shirts but only shitty kind of shirts ...............
but ............. there were posters ofcourse and because i was
one of the last people who left after the show the guy who sold
all that stuff just said to all who was there "just take these for
free" .........so that's good for me :-)
the
show was about two hours and i don't remember the exact setlist
but i'll try writing it in the end (i taped the show from the radio
so i'll try listen to it maybe tomorrow and get the exact setlist)
when
they played sam' i was so happy, i looked at people and they didn't
know what to think ........it was great ;-) it didn't look to me
like klass was having problems with his leg no more cause he did
a BOOGIE dance before and through turnpike which was unbelievable
and they all danced on that one , it was pretty funny ;-) fell of
the floor man just blew me away, it was so GOOD !!!!!! i think tim
should be a permanent member on dEUS cause he really adds stuff
, musically & vocally serpentine was really beautiful, and after
that they left for a few seconds and came back for w.c.s which was
all mostly played by a playback but it was great cause jules put
his towel on his head and started doing his own kind of dance behind
the drums and they all danced , what was really different about
the w.c.s they played is that they cut the whole part that goes
at the end ".......it's the first draft , of a WORSE CASE scenario
! " i don't know why but people expected it and so did i but they
still did a pretty messy part at the end of it which was real good
ok..............now
we go for the part which was what made the whole experience much
better, after the show there was a party in some other place where
tom was the dj and and tom said during the show that everybody's
welcomed and he mumbled where it's at ......anyway, it was at some
place which is soooo small, something like 10 meters wide and 5meteres
long , but lots of people were just "hangin' around" outside and
all the dEUS people were there except for craig now, i made some
"conversations" with tim, tom and klass , and here's a little quoting
i try to remember -
first
talk with tim :
..............i was quite nervous at first altough i didn't except
that to happen ;-) so i asked him first if there's a chance evil
superstars will ever do something together again , and he said "don't
think so...no" , i don't even know where that question came from
:-) and then i just told him how i loved the show blah, blah , blah
...... and he was a really nice guy .....really at the end of our
little chatting he shock my hand with both of his hands and that's
..................hmmmmm , something :-)
second
talk with tom : first i told him that there are people in austraila
who are waiting for them and they asked me to tell him and he replied
- "it's very expensive to go there, tell them it's alright, we'll
sure be there in two years" ..........so mates, i guess you'll have
to wait some more but it'd be worth it for sure ;-)
then
i told him that some ppl from the internet ( we ) are going to a
cover album of their songs and he was surprised (i thought someone
had told them already about this.....) , and i blahed some more
about that and he said he'd wanna hear that
and
he also shock my hand with one of his hands , it was a firm hand
shake , ............i'll never forget it ;-)
third
talk with klass :
me
- hi, my name is avi (...........he's the only one i told my name
to cause i just didn't thought of that ;-)
klass - hi
me - are u planing on ever doing a solo album or something like
that
klass - in the next year and so i'll do some stuff on my own , and
work on a solo project
me - are u guys planning on doing a special show on saturday since
it's the last show of the tour ?
klass - hmmmm, no ........we'll treat it as a regular show
me - i heard u had some problems with your leg , it looks alright
now
klass - yea, i act as it doesn't bother me , but it's still painful
, i jut keep the pain inside
me - ok, good luck on your stuff .............bye
klass - bye , bye
*
he was really bothered by Alot of girls, but alot .............i
waited some time to have a word with him
*
tim was i think the nicest one , later on my friend talked with
him and his girlfriend and light his fire again and again (cigarette)
..........and they asked him who is she (his girlfriend) and then
he talked for about 15 minutes about her ;-) .........and he said
that today (from the last midnight) she just turned 22 , and that
he's now 21
he's
a really nice guy, and his girlfriend looks (not only her "looks")
very nice we left them while one of my friends told him they look
very nice together and he hopes they will be always together and
she said "definitely" :-)
ok,
i think i'll go have a little sleeping time before school begins
in two hours ;-( i need to sleepppppppp !!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
it was just a SUPER ORGASMIC night for me and i'll finsh by quoting
Judit here saying : dEUS is everything ........for sure :-)
bye
peace and love to all of u
avi
wow
it seems i'm the last one to write about the show... as Avi and
Zvia said, it was indeed an unbelievable show... i NEVER had this
unbelievable sensation in a concert! the crowd was great-knew all
the lyrics (except to sam peckinpah's daughter), jumped around,
was really great.
Craig
when they came on stage, gave the people in the front some marshmellows
on a paper plate.. and then they started the show NOT with "let's
see who goes down first" as Avi said, but with "A shocking lack
thereof" i doubt dEUS will ever play the same song twice in a concert.
then they played sister dew which was great, litle arithmetics,
sam peckinpah's daughter, then suds and soda which was AMAZING i
blew so much energy on this song... (i was really close to the stage)
right in front of craig. then magdalena, which was fantastic, and
Tom seemed like it was the song that meant the most to him on the
show... then hotellounge, with a surprising addition of another
verse sung by Craig (for some reason he gave me a really evil smile
right before he started singing... he probably noticed my dEUS stickers
on my shirt :)) )...
then
put the freaks up front, everybody's weird, which in this point
the show started being really powerful and strange. Now they played
Let's see who goes down first, the magic hour and instant street,
which were all great, especially instant street. then they went
off stage... and after a few minutes, klaas came on stage, started
playing the sample of theme from turnpike, and then started dancing
and doing shit on stage like playing aimlessly on the drums, and
"entertaining" the crowd... then every other member came on when
he was supposed to start playing, so tom came on first for the singing,
and danny for bass etc.
at
the end they again mixed prodigy's "no good (start the dance)" into
the song, in which point the crowd pretty much went silent, and
i was left singing the lines on my own pretty much. then they did
fell off the floor man, which i totally didn't expect... it was
reaaaaaaally cool, and everyone got pissed at Jules for fucking
up the drums for about two seconds and started yelling at him, telling
him to get in rhythm... then, tom introduced everyone in the band,
with a solo from every member, and then Tim (is that his name?)
yelled at the band to be quiet, and did a rap introduction to Tom...
it was something like "yo yo yo give it up for the man, the guitarist,
the MC... Tom Barman!" then they played roses, at which point i
was totally exxxxxxstatic, and serpentine, and worst case scenario
which i don't think they usually play... it was great. By the way,
as Avi said, Danny tried crowd surfing... that was hiiiiilarious..
i was one of the guys he fell on, and the coolest roadie with them
helped him up and they both fell on each other on the stage, so
the roadie picked up Danny on his back, and Danny played like a
minute of that song (i think it was fell off the floor man) while
on his back.
After
the show, i tried getting hold of whatever leftovers i could, so
i talked to that roadie, and he told me they are out of guitar picks,
and they need to buy some before the next shows. the same with drum
sticks. but he gave me one of the playlists that were stuck to the
floor.
Merchandising
sucked... the guy in charge was a really nice belgian guy.. i talked
to him and he said all the good shirts were sold months ago, and
all there was left were small size t-shirts. so i told him what
a bummer it was, so he told me to hold on, and he found one last
XL shirt for me, and when i got home, i checked, and it's too small
and tight!!! :(((((( but i got a poster of the band.
I
didn't know where the god damn after party was, and people told
me it's on saturday, so i went home. but i have a ticket for friday's
haifa gig, and i think i'll get a ticket for saturday's gig as well.
oh,
and my tape turned out incomplete and with terrible radio reception
:(((( but i do have the acoustic sessions they did before the show
in good quality and in full.
Noam
Hamou
hi
! .........;-)
i
wanna add that danny sang on fell off the floor, man the lyrics
from that old song that all saints (i don't think they were ever
mentioned here before ;-) covered , which are something like (in
french) - "vole vocko she ale'qua.....sesua" ...........????????
btw
- the after show was in a place called "freeland" , which is right
next to the famous "alanby 52" i don't think there will be more
after party in the next shows
........i
don't know if i'll go to the saturday show cause klass told me it
won't be a "special" gig , so i need to make up my mind, some cd's
or the show ???? .........GOD, that's a hard choice ! :-)
i
think the really big "crowd hits" on the show were probably suds'n'soda
and fell off the floor, man .........and then also ofcourse hottelounge
where craig did his mercury rev' cover of holes and roses and little
arithmetics and so on ..........
