Hi to all

i'm back :-)))) and i'm real happy. I went to Paredes de Coura festival last weekend and i can't tell you what a ride it was. But i will only tell you about the  great show dEUS did last Friday. Well i can start by saying that i've never seen the guys in such a good mood. They sounded very well, all the songs have new arrangements. The sound was very good, everything was loud and clear. Craig's voice was well balanced with Tom's voice and Tim as well. When they appeared on stage Tom said "Good evening our Portuguese friends. We have good and bad news. The bad news is that the rest of the world doesn't exist anymore. The good news is that Portugal does exist. We're here, we are gonna stay here." and then kicked off with Sister Dew, simple, beautiful. Then came Little Arthmetics great as ever with a very psychedelic end. Sam came with a blast. Tim was dancing crazy by now (a review in a Portuguese newspaper said that Tim has some physical resemblance with Blur's Graham Coxon :-))) ), Danny was being a cool Rocket :-))) and Craig was playing very well, playing all those crazy guitar solos in the right place and creating new dimensions in the songs. Suds & Soda lift the crowd powerful as ever. Klaas violin was everywhere. Fell off the Floor, Man and it was dancing time for everybody :-))) Wild. Then it came the first sad song of the night, according to Tom, Magdalena. Very beautiful. Tom tried to show how to dance Instant Street but he was a poor teacher :-))))) as for the song fuckingtastic (why can't i get tired of this song??). Let's See Who Goes Down First was presented by Tom as a song about everytime we feel like we are going deeply crazy. Great voice effect and a very intense song. Then Tom said that the next song was about exactly the same thing and started to play Roses. A very inspired moment. Hotellounge lifted me off the ground what an amazing moment. 9 minutes of pure pleasure. And the pleasure was coming from their faces too. They jumped right to Put the Freaks Up Front, What a song, and what a version. Very intense very freaky. The concert closed with The Magic Hour it really was a magic moment and a perfect gig.
For the encore, Klaas was the first to walk on stage, thanked the audience and Turnpike was on the speakers. He started to dance all around the stage. They did a medley with WCS it was fantastic. During this song there were some funny moments. All started with a fuck up by Klaas (because they used the sampled bass line from the original version, Danny wasn't playing) and everybody started to laugh. Then Klaas took his shoes off and Craig grabbed it and offered it to the audience. Then Tim and Craig started to play baseball with the other shoe. Craig's guitar was the baton :-))). Danny was being a rock star. Everybody was having a great time and the band looked real close. In the end of the song Klaas asked for the shoe back and he got it :-)))
Tom asked if we had any requests, i asked for Serpentine but i was too far away for them to ear :-))). Tom asked Danny to play On Stage but it seams he refused. Maybe the rocket was not in the mood to fly :-)))) They discussed about what song to play and it came a very illuminated version of A Shocking Lack Thereof. GREAT!! Tom improvised on the lyrics. When he's supposed to sing "...but wait (wear your moonboots, cause they suit you)" he started to sing "...but wait, before you even choose to take the trip thing and die like a Kennedy in the sky". Another magic moment. And to finish the show i think they eard me and played Serpentine. Beautiful as ever. In the end Tom sort of confirmed the stop the band will be doing because he said goodbye like this "Bye bye, see you in two years".
For me this concert was even better than the Lisbon one in last June. The band sounded far more creative on stage. There were some changes on the setlist too, Dream Sequence and Everybody's Weird were not played and a lot of songs changed place.

This is all i can remember for now. Got to get some rest. I will be putting some pictures of this show on my site. Some press pictures and maybe other pictures, don't know yet :-)
Well, bye for now
