Hi
i
said i was going to write my review of last night gig, so
here it is.
The
venue wasn't full there was too many people but not sold
out. The ambience was good, lot's of beautiful people :-))
I missed the opening act, i saw Dover when they opened for
Faith No More here in Lisbon and i didn't liked it. So this
time i didn't want to go through the same nightmare again,
that's why i went to the bar and watch the football match
between Portugal and Eslovaquia :-)) OH! by the way, Portugal
WON 1-0 :-))))))))))))) YES!!!
Now
back to the show, they kick off with Dream sequence, very
beautiful. By their presence on stage it was obvious that
the band was in a very good mood and everything was set
for afantastic night. Then it came little arithmetics, the
best version of it that i've eard in a concert in Portugal.
Put the Freaks was a blast. The sound was great, and i must
tell you that in that room that's not normal. It's hard
to get a real good sound in that room. Sister Dew was introduced
by Tom as a song about the feeling of killing someone...if
killing could sound like that it would be :-)))))))) you
know what i mean. By that time the party was already on
Klaas was dancing all around Craig was playing very good
Danny was good too (still don't get it why do the girls
like that guy?? :-) ) Jules was great too but what caught
my attention was Tim. He was seated all the time but playing
great and really giving some good feeling to the songs with
is guitar and singing (i don't know who said it but i have
to agree, Tim second voice is better than Danny's voice).
After Sister Dew came a fantastic fantastic bunch of songs:
Sam (great), Suds & Soda (powerful version) the crowd
went wild here,Fell of the floor (very cool), Magdalena
(beautiful), Let's See who Goes Down First (it was a surprise
for me, i wasn't expecting to ear this song live and it
sounded very good), Roses (amazing), Instant Street who
said this song didn't needed that end? It was a joke wasn't
it? :-) powerfull version. This was the end. Tom introduced
Tim to the crowd and told us why he was seated, he suffered
a little accident and an injured his right leg. For the
encore they played I very cool version of Turnpike klaas
was great dancing and Tim was jumping around too. Turnpike
was played as a medley with WCS, FANTASTIC. Then Magic Hour,
my god, for me it's the best song of TIC, great melody great
sound great lyrics. Everybody's Weird, was weird :-) Jules
missed some beats and the song wasn't much good. Finishing
the show came a incredible version of Hotellounge, i was
very surprised with it. It sounded incredible. At the end
of the song they started to improvise and Tom came down
from the stage to the snake pit and he stood there playing
and embracing the crowd, then Danny joined him it was very
funny. They started to fade the sound and Craig took the
micro and started singing something that i don't know. He
kept on singing, Tim and Jules were the only ones playing,
Klaas was in the pit too. They stood there in the pit looking
at Craig singing the song faded and the show ended. It was
a great moment. The Magic hour was ours. They play for about
2 hours and we could listen to the for the rest of the night.
It
was great to see the band playing very well and having a
lot of fun on stage like they used too, it seams that dEUS
exists and looks healthy :-))))))) let's hope so.
After
the show There was a party at a club but i couldn't make
it maybe some of the others went there and could tell us
something about it. Tom was the DJ.
I'm
sad i can't go to Porto tonight guess i will have to wait
for Paredes de Coura.
And
here is Claudia's addition :
Last
gig in Lisbon I´ve been with them in front of coliseu (the
place they went to play). They were having their dinner in
a resturant on the street, and they had talk with everybody
during their meal. It was very funny...They were eating on
the street, and people wo was waiting for the gig, were walking
around and nobody notice that they were there!!!!!!!!! but
wene the first fan saw them...you can imagin:)
