The gig last night in Bristol was excellent. Must admit I was feeling really nervous in the time between the support band finishing and dEUS coming on, as they seemed to be having a *lot* of trouble with the microphones. After all the talk on this list, i was getting seriously worried that the gig wouldnt even start!

Even during the gig, almost everyone singing seemed to keep asking for the volume to be turned up on their respective mikes, but it turned out mostly ok.

Most of the new album got played. No Hotellounge, Via or Suds, but I didnt really mind. Being a convert of the new album it was good that they played loads from it. starting with Roses was fab too.

The biggest surprise for me was an excellent version of Turnpike. Its never been my favourite track, but they all sort of freeformed at the end, which made it a totally unique version, and IMHO much better too.

The only sad thing for me is that it'll now be ages before I see them again :'(

Ah well (sigh)
