Shirley
Manson, Garbage
In
1999, she said on an Australian radio that The Ideal Crash is her
favorite album. This was not very long after she headlined the Beach
festival in Belgium with dEUS.

The
Walkabouts, USA
They covered Wake Me Up Before I Sleep on their
latest album called Train Leaves At Eight. Leader Chris Eckman
explains this choice :
The final track on the Belgian band Deus' second
album, this is one of my all time favorite three in the morning
songs. We met Deus in 1993 when they opened for us in their native
Antwerp. It was one of those opening sets that you felt lucky
to have witnessed. A year later, at the same club, Tom Barman
brought us a tape of their just completed debut. All the promise
of that earlier set had been captured. We have remained fans ever
since.

And Reef, Idlewild and Muse
each requested dEUS videos when they were invited by M2
Europe (the dark side of MTV, an amazing digital channel) to choose
their own music hour. Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy said he
would like to write a song with dEUS. |

A hands-down victory for Hotellounge and
Roses, which surprised me. I voted for Roses, thinking I'd be one of the
very few to do so : it's a dark video, somehow insane. I especially love
the Chinese characters. As for the Hotellounge video, well, I'm glad that
many of you are "old-school" dEUS fans - after all, this is
hotellounge.com :)
I also like to see that almost nobody voted for Sister Dew : that one's
so dull ... As for the FOTFM video, has anyone ever seen it on TV ?

25AUG - there is beauty here / he's so cute
Uh, should I really comment on this ? Obviously you got the message :
this poll was for fun and has no serious meaning at all. How else could
anyone have voted for Rudy and Julle ;)
